Leduan Barthelemy took on Ricardo Nunez Tuesday, Sept. 13 on PBC on FS1.
Barthelemy hails from a family of boxers and showcased his attacking pedigree early into the fight. Barthelemy's height and length was a clear advantage in the fight, but it also created openings for Nunez. Nunez was able to openings to the body as he tried to press it Barthelemy with constant pressure.
The body shots by Nunez slowly took the steam out of Barthelemy, keeping his explosiveness at bay in the later rounds. Nunez also found success with the over hand right.
Barthelemy used his length to box Nunez and he also found success putting together combinations. But Barthelemy was put to the test in this fight and was challenged all the way to the final bell.
The decision was left in the hands of the judges. By split decision, Leduan Barthelemy won in the eyes of the judges and protected his undefeated record.
