WCPW Refuse To Lose Results

Welcome to the Fightful.com live viewing party for What Culture Pro Wrestling's iPPV Refuse To Lose! WCPW always have a star studded lineup for their PPV's and today is no exception as we have American Hero; Kurt Angle facing Local Hero; Joe Hendry, Alberto El Patrone in a triple threat match against El Ligero and Travis Banks to crown the first WCPW Internet Champion, the championship created by Eric Bischoff, Minoru Suzuki comes all the way from Japan for only the second time ever visiting the UK to take on Joe Coffey, Cody Rhodes takes on Doug Williams and if that weren't star studded enough, we have Good Ol' JR Jim Ross and Jim Cornette on commentary! If that weren't enough we have Joseph Conners defending his WCPW Heavyweight title against Martin Kirby and Nixon Newell defends her women's title against Kimber Lee. JR said that this event is his Wrestlemania this year so we are in for an amazing show! -We open with Brett Hart in the ring talking about various guys on the card and the promotion. Brett talks about The Hart Foundation and his career.

Joe Coffey vs Minoru Suzuki

Minoru tries to intimidate Coffey, but it doesn't work then they lock up. Coffey and Suzuki exchange kicks and strikes. Coffey goes for a kimura in the ropes then goes for it again after he drops Suzuki, trying to tap out the submission specialist and make a statement. They go to the outside and Suzuki chops Coffey repeatedly around the ring then hits Coffey in the head with a sprite bottle before choking him on the barricade. As the referee makes Suzuki back off, El Desperado his fellow Suzuki-gun stable mate stomps on Coffey. Suzuki goes for a chancery then goes for a guillotine choke, but Coffey powers out. Coffey hits a springboard cross body for a close 2 count. Suzuki drops Coffey with a stiff strike for a quick 2 count. 

They exchange forearms in the center of the ring then Coffey hits Black Coffey out of no where for a very close 2 count. Suzuki goes for a sleeper then goes for the Gotch-Style Piledriver and hits it for the pin and the win. Good match, great showing for Suzuki.

Winner: Minoru Suzuki via pinfall with the Gotch-Style Piledriver

-In Suzuki-gun fashion Minoru and El Desperado attack Coffey after the match and throw him out of the ring.

El Ligero vs Travis Banks vs Alberto El Patrone WCPW Internet Title Triple Threat Match

Huge pop for Alberto who has his left arm heavily taped up. Alberto and Ligero double team Banks then Alberto turns on him with a thrust kick to Ligero then a DDT to Banks. Patrone gets taken out of the ring then Banks goes for a kick, but Ligero counters and hits a standing moonsault. Banks hits a bridged suplex for a close 2 count that Alberto breaks up. Alberto hits a dropkick to the back of the neck of Banks for a quick 2 count of his own. Alberto hits a step up enzugiri that sends Banks to the outside then Ligero and Patrone meet him on the outside, Alberto getting thrown into the ring post. 

Ligero hits a huricanrrana onto Patrone off the top rope then Alberto hits a gut wrench backbreaker on Banks. El Ligero goes for a springboard DDT, but Alberto gets out of the way then Banks tosses Patrone out of the ring. Ligero rolls up Banks for the pin and the win. Not a bad match, I'd like to see more of Banks, Ligero is your typical high flying luchador, but that's not a bad thing.

Winner: El Ligero via pinfall

-After the match Patrone acts like he may attack Ligero, but instead shakes his hand and leaves.

Doug Williams vs Cody Rhodes

Cody is in control early, whipping Williams into the corner then hits a springboard off the top rope. Cody sits him on the apron then hits a springboard enzugiri that sends him to the outside. Cody comes off the top rope and accidentally hits a diving headbutt, seeming to go for a cross body, but Cody slipped on the top rope. Williams hits a spinning neckbreaker once they get back in the ring and gets a quick 2 count. Cody hits the Cross Rhodes out of no where for the pin and the win.

Winner: Cody Rhodes via pinfall with Cross Rhodes

Rampage vs Adam Blampied Street Fight Match

Adam comes out to Ric Flair's music to a chorus of boos. Adam gets on the mic and introduces himself. As soon as he comes out Rampage grabs Adam and goes for a sitout powerbomb, but BX come out and attack Rampage. Adam gets a kendo stick and hits Rampage as BX hold him. Damo comes back out of no where and hits a brutal senton.Rampage manages to beat them all off then puts Adam through a table for the pin and the win. Rampage is scary and was booked like a monster in this match.

Winner: Rampage via pinfall

Nixon Newell vs Kimber Lee WCPW Women's Title Match

Newell goes for a quick pin, but only gets a 2 count with a backslide. They exchange forearms in the center of the ring then Lee hits Newell with a clothesline when she runs the ropes. Lee brings in a chair and goes to hit Newell, but she stops her, countering with a suplex that sends Lee to the outside. Lee comes back in and tries to hit her with again, but Newell yanks it away from her then hits Vulture Culture Destroyer for the pin and the win.

Winner: Nixon Newell via pinfall with the Vulture Culture Destroyer

Joseph Conners vs Martin Kirby WCPW World Title Match

They start off with strikes then Kirby teases the Sable Bomb immediately, Conners getting away and going to the outside to regroup. Kirby drops Conners with a wrist lock then a headlock, hitting a cartwheel arm drag into a shoulder lock. Conners applies a hammer lock, but Kirby reverses into a headlock. Kirby hits a huricanrrana off the top rope and rolls through. Kirby puts on a stalling suplex, but puts him down and hits a dropkick. Kirby applies a front headlock, but Conners backs him into the corner for a break. Conners hits Kirby with a back elbow in the corner then whips him into the other corner and hits him with a splash. Kirby hits a back elbow off the top rope then goes for the stalled suplex again and holds it to the count of 10. Conners tries to poke him in the eye then attack his fingers, but Kirby reverses and puts him in the stalled suplex again for a minute; even Elgin can't do that! Kirby teases the Sable Bomb again, but Conners reverses and hits a powerslam for a 2 count. 

Conners drops Kirby with a right hand to the outside then tosses him back into the ring for a close 2 count. Kirby rushes as Conners and hits a double knee stomp. Conners hits an t-bone suplex for another close 2 count, following it up with a series of lariats that drops Kirby. They exchange strikes in the center, but Kirby gets the upper hand and drops Conners repeatedly. Kirby hits a spear into the corner then a lariat for a close 2 count, hitting a neckbreaker for another close 2 count. Kirby goes for the Sable Bomb, but Conners counters and hits a falcon arrow for a close 2 count of his own. Conners hits a leg lariat then teases The Righteous Kill, Kirby countering with an inside cradle for a quick 2 count then they counter pins for at least 5 quick 2 counts. Kirby sends Conners outside then dives out after him. Kirby sends Conners back into the ring and hits a famouser for a very close 2 count. Conners hits a rope DDT then a bucklebomb, following up with a lariat that sends Kirby across the ring for a close 2 count. Kirby hangs Conners in the ropes then hits him with a step up enzugiri. Kirby goes to the top rope, but Conners meets him, chopping him across the chest then Kirby picks him up on his shoulders and hits a sitout facebuster off the second rope for a close 2 count. They get on their knees and exchange strikes in the center of the ring. 

Kirby accidentally kicks the referee with a superkick then Conners goes for The Righteous Kill, Kirby countering with a Sable Bomb, but the referee is still down. Kirby goes for the Zoidberg Elbow, but General Manager Adam Pacitti pushes him off the ropes. Kirby gets distracted and Conners hits a low blow then hits The Righteous Kill for the pin and the win. 

Winner: Joseph Conners via pinfall with The Righteous Kill

Kurt Angle vs Joe Hendry

They lock up to start the match as they exchange wrist locks for a clean break. They lock up again and Hendry takes Angle down then gets back up for another clean break, a lot of mutual respect between these two. Hendry drops Angle repeatedly with shoulder blocks, sending Angle to the outside. Kurt hits Joe with a right hand then puts him back into the ring and hits him with another right hand then a slam for a quick 2 count. Kurt puts on a reverse chin lock then takes Hendry down with a stiff clothesline for another quick 2 count. Angle turns Hendry inside out for another quick 2 count then puts on another reverse chin lock. Kurt rakes Hendry's eyes then goes for the Olympic Slam, but Hendry counters into an arm drag, following up with a clothesline. Hendry drops Kurt again then hits a DDT for a close 2 count, following up with the overhead slam, but Angle counters into a series of german suplxes for a close 2 count of his own. Angle goes for the Angle Slam, but Hendry turns it into The Freak of Nature, but cannot get the win as Angle kicks out somehow. Kurt applies the ankle lock, but Hendry rolls through and hits Kurt with his own Angle Slam for a very close 2 count. 

Hendry goes to the top rope and Kurt meets him, hitting the Angle Slam off the top rope, but somehow, some way Joe Hendry kicks out! Kurt applies another ankle lock and Hendry rolls through and puts his own ankle lock on Kurt who nearly taps, but reverses it into one of his own as Joe Hendry is forced to tap.

Winner: Kurt Angle via submission

-After the match they hug and Kurt raises Joe's arm then gets on the mic and thanks the crowd and says that he's wrestled the best around the world, but Joe pushed him beyond his limit and he has a huge future ahead of him. They shake hands and hug as Hendry leaves the ring before Kurt.
