Welterweight Clash Set For UFC Fight Night 110

A welterweight division clash is the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night 110 card as Warlley Alves is in action against Kiichi Kunimoto.

Alves (10-2-0) will be entering the fight riding a two fight losing streak, with those losses coming to the duo of Bryan Barberena and Kamaru Usman. Alves has also earned a total of four wins during his time with the UFC, notable wins have come over Alan Jouban, Nordine Taleb and Colby Covington. Alves was also the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3, defeating Marcio Alexandre Jr. in the finals.

Kunimoto (18-6-2-1NC) has won three of four fights under the UFC banner, with those three wins coming over Luiz Dutra Jr., Daniel Sarafian and Richard Walsh. Kunimoto will be competing for the first time in well over two years, with his last bout being a loss to Neil Magny at UFC Fight Night 60. Kunimoto also held the Heat MMA Welterweight Title, defeating Fumitoshi Ishikawa to win the gold in March 2013.

UFC Fight Night 111 takes place on Saturday, June 11 from the Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand with Mark Hunt and Derrick Lewis headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event.
