Wilson Reis Challenges IBF Champion Gervonta Davis To Fight On Mayweather vs. McGregor Undercard

There have been a number of different athletes, mixed martial artists and boxers alike, that want to fight on the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor undercard. One UFC fighter not only wants to fight on the card, but to fight a boxing world champion.

Former UFC Flyweight title challenger Wilson Reis has called out IBF junior lightweight champion Gervonta Davis on Twitter, goading the young boxing champion to have a fight on the undercard.

Reis’ three fight win streak in the UFC fight was snapped when he tapped out to Demetrious Johnson on April 15 in Reis’ first UFC title challenge.

Davis won the IBF title when he beat Jose Pedraza back in January on the Badou Jack vs. James DeGale undercard and made his first successful title defense when he stopped Liam Walsh in the third round back on May 20.

Any hope of the fight between Reis and Davis, or any crossover fight between MMA and boxing that wasn’t Mayweather vs. McGregor for that matter, appearing on the undercard was squashed in the first conference call with UFC president Dana White, Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe and Showtime’s Stephen Espinoza. In the call, the three executives said the entire card will only be boxing fights and only involve boxers.
