AEW Files To Trademark ‘Death’s Door’

AEW has filed to trademark ‘Death’s Door’ in the wake of the steel cage variant being used at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 28th, a 12 man steel cage tag team match took place as team Mark Briscoe would take on Team MJF. The bout would take place in a new variant of the steel cage structure, as Tony Khan would call it, a circular ‘Death’s Door’ cage would surround the ring for the bout.

In a new trademark filing on June 29th, AEW filed to trademark ‘Death’s Door’. You can check out the filing description below.

Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services in the nature of live professional wrestling performances; Entertainment services in the nature of production of professional wrestling programs and events.

At the Forbidden Door post show press conference, Tony Khan would share that Mike Mansury was the person who came up with the idea for the new cage structure. You can read more about that here.
