Andrade Says AEW Gives Everyone A Chance, Samoans Have Treated Him Great In AEW
On Tuesday, Andrade made headlines for speaking on WWE pushing Samoans even if they don’t have “it.”
Andrade spoke on Mexican wrestlers not always getting an opportunity despite having the look and talent, before saying, “Then you see wrestlers, maybe it’s going to sound bad, but there are some jokes about the Samoans. Not everyone; Roman Reigns succeeded, he did well, but there are several that don’t got it and they are constantly pushed. I’m there like they’ve been doing it for 20 years and they still don’t have it, and we never had those opportunities.”
On social media, Andrade was asked if Samoans were holding him back in AEW and if AEW pushes Samoans.
He replied, “No! They always treated me great. AEW is the best wrestling company and respects all wrestling styles; the company is less than 10 years old and features wrestlers from all over the world, they give everyone a chance.”
He also confirmed he left AEW in 2023 to return to WWE to work with his ex-wife Charlotte Flair.

Andrade won the Casino Gauntlet at AEW All In to earn a future shot at the AEW World Title.
