Andre Chase Looks Back On NXT 2.0 Era: “Even The Commentators Were Told To Dress Younger & Dress More Hip”

The former Andre Chase looked back at the NXT 2.0 days.

After a five-year run with WWE, Andre Chance a.k.a. Andre Chase’s time with the company came to an end in April 2026 when he was let go during the wave of talent releases and departures.

He spoke to Justin Dhillon of The Wrestling Classic about his time there and discussed memories from his run. One of the focus points was the NXT 2.0 era when the product shifted from the ‘Black and Gold’ presentation to being more character-based and younger.

“2.0 comes along and the instruction is, ‘Everyone needs a well-defined character. We’re going younger, we’re going hipper.’ I don’t know if you remember, even the commentators were told to dress younger and dress more hip. We had all the colors in the arena now. The P.C. shut down for like a week just to repaint, so it would look different on television, and it was cool, it was different.”
