Anthony Bowens: People Are Delusional If They Think AEW Wouldn’t Sell MSG Out

Anthony Bowens says working in Madison Square Garden is one of his goals.

When AEW Dynamite was first created, there were plans to do its first show at MSG. However, these plans fell through because, as Tony Khan puts it, they would’ve “upset somebody.” Earlier this month, MJF pushed AEW to run a show there as well. Now Anthony Bowens has commented on this subject as well.

Speaking with PWInsiderElite recently, Anthony Bowens revealed one of his career goals to perform at MSG.

“That’s one of my career goals. I’m pretty sure I heard MJF say the same thing. That’s one of the career goals, is to wrestle there. So hopefully one day we can make that happen.”

Bowens also commented on online skepticism from fans, saying AEW wouldn’t be able to sell out The Garden.

“People are delusional if they think we wouldn’t sell [MSG] out. We got 14,000 over in Queens. They said the same thing about Wembley, that we wouldn’t put 80,000 in there, and we sold the place. We would do it.”
