Brick Savage details the bloodiest matches of their wrestling career in a recent interview with Fightful Overbooked’s In The Weeds.
Throughout Savage’s career, they have been no stranger to wrestling in various different bouts that would feature the ring being stained with the blood of the competitors in the bout.
While speaking to Fightful Overbooked’s In The Weeds in a recent interview, Brick Savage was asked if their match with Abadon was the bloodiest of their career.
“It was not my bloodiest match. I’ve had two that were pretty substantially bad. The first one was with Deimos from Mexico. That dude, he’s a gremlin, and then my best friend, Dimitri Alexandrov. That one, I got this nifty little scar on the side of my head and the side of my face, from that one, ended up being… probably my bloodiest one because it was about 20, 25 minutes of me bleeding profusely in that one. So yeah, it was, that one was probably one of the ones.”
Savage would also explain how they got the scar he spoke of, noting that it came from a light tube early on in the match.
“Light tubes, always light tubes. I’m not, I’m not a big fan of light tubes. But for this story, I’ll play into this deal, and like I said, it’s not something I generally would want to do, and it was immediate. The very first spot, I’m talking 30 seconds in, was a light tube. Boom, to my face, and it just sliced. It was like wrapping Christmas lights. It didn’t really break. Yeah, the way it was thrown, it hit my face. It just immediately sliced my forehead open. It sliced my face open. From that point on, I just had this crimson mask the entire time until it was over.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Savage spoke about signing with MLW. You can read more about that here.
