Bull Buchanan Says Brock Lesnar Spoke Up For Him To Vince McMahon After He And John Cena Were Broken Up On Television

Bull Buchanan says one of the people who went to bat for him was Brock Lesnar.
During the early days of John Cena’s main roster run, he had a tag team partner called Bull Buchanan. They were known as B2 on WWE programming. But their run was short-lived, which ended with Cena turning on him after a tag team loss. WWE released Buchanan in January 2003.
Speaking on Rewind Recap Relive, Buchanan was talking about the 2002 Ohio Valley Wrestling Class. Brock Lesnar’s name came up, and the host asked if he had any interactions with Lesnar at that time.
“I don’t talk about this a lot. I mean, I guess I should because it’s really more of a testament to those guys than me. But, the day they broke me and Cena, I kind of saw the writing on the wall. A couple of people came to me and said, ‘Hey, listen. I just, for what it’s worth, I want you to know, I went to Vince and I said, man you need to find something else to do with him.’ One of those guys was Brock. Brock Lesnar.”
Brock Lesnar is currently scheduled to face Oba Femi at WWE SummerSlam. Fans can read about the show’s lineup here and here.
