Callum Newman Says His Shoulder ‘Popped’ In G1 Bout Against Aaron Wolf

Callum Newman suffered a shoulder injury at NJPW Dominion, going into the annual G1 Climax tournament with what he said was a dislocated shoulder.
Newman still competed in every match of the tournament, making it to the semifinals before losing to Ryohei Oiwa.
In his seventh match of the tournament, he faced Aaron Wolf, and says his shoulder popped.
“The match before (the semifinal against Oiwa) I got put through a table, and before that, with Aaron Wolf, my shoulder went again,” he said while speaking to NJPW.
He continued, “He gave me one of those judo throws and it popped- not popped out but I felt it move and then I felt this bolt of electricity down my arm. So that was concerning, and then sure enough, Oiwa is one of the best at throwing armdrags and using arm holds. I’d have much rather somebody who wrestles like I do, someone that runs and throws a lot of kicks. Smart, I guess.”
Wolf was victorious in the match, but Callum Newman bounced back to defeat HENARE on the final night of block action to make the semifinal.
