Carmelo Hayes: Baron Corbin Might Be Worse Than The Yankees

Carmelo Hayes believes in a new interview that Baron Corbin ‘might be worse than The Yankees’ as a Massachusetts native.

On the August 14th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Hayes would challenge Corbin for the WWE United States Championship, with Corbin heeling his way to victory in the matchup, continuing his rivalry with Trick Williams after the bout.

While speaking to WBZ News Boston in a new interview prior to Friday’s SmackDown, Carmelo Hayes discussed Baron Corbin.

“Just came back. He was gone for a little while. Well-decorated wrestler, well-respected wrestler. He’s a guy, you know, we’re not taking him lightly. But, you know, he’s coming to the city of Boston. He’s not welcome here. And he’s going to feel it tonight. The people are going to let him know what’s up. And then when he gets in the ring with Carmelo Hayes, he’s going to find out.”

When his host would compare Corbin to the New York Yankees, Hayes noted he believes Corbin might be worse than The Yankees.

“He might be worse than the Yankees.”
