Cash Wheeler: We Haven’t Been Able To Face New Day Without Any Restrictions
New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) are set to become free agents after their WWE departure at the beginning of the month, and FTR have already hinted at wanting them in AEW.
Shortly after the news broke that New Day would be leaving WWE, Cash Wheeler posted the lyrics to the Clipse song “Cot Damn,” which read, “It’s a new day.”
Speaking to Raj Prashad of Yahoo’s Uncrowned, Cash commented on welcoming Austin Creed & Kofi to AEW.
“I don’t think we’ve ever really had the chance to go two versus two against those guys without there being any restrictions on us, without there being any sort of — I don’t want to say anything too negative, so, without there being too many things that you’re not allowed to do,” said Cash.
FTR have never wrestled Woods & Kingston in a tag team match on television.
