Chris Jericho Had Never Heard Of Pocket Sand Before AEW Dynamite Beach Break

Chris Jericho wasn’t familiar with a famous King of the Hill attack.

At AEW Dynamite Beach Break, Chris Jericho battled Tommaso Ciampa in a match that involved sand to the eyes. Jericho brought things back around at AEW Redemption, using actual pocket sand.

Speaking to Beef Vegan, Jericho revealed he had never heard of pocket sand before the spot.

“We had sand in Clearwater because it was Beach Break, and then everyone was talking about pocket sand from King of the Hill. This time, I actually put a bunch of sand in my pocket and used pocket sand. That’s only because fans brought it up. I had never heard of pocket sand on King of the Hill before so I said, ‘Let me use it in the next match. I’ll put a pocket on my outfit and put some sand in it,'” he said.

Jericho was victorious in the bout at Redemption.
