Claudio Castagnoli: I’m Confident That AEW Can Hold The Momentum And Make It A Permanent Climb

Claudio Castagnoli is excited for the future of AEW.

AEW has been riding a wave of momentum for nearly a year at this point, with many fans arguing that AEW All In Texas was a big turning point for the company.

Speaking with 107.7 The Bone for a new interview, Castagnoli talked in depth about AEW’s current upswing.

“I feel like wrestling always goes in ebbs and flows. AEW has been on a huge upswing and I am confident that we can actually hold that momentum and just make it a permanent climb. AEW is just playing — we’re playing to our strengths and there’s a lot of patience in what we do. There’s things that take a while to develop. But while something develops, something else is hot or paying off. I feel that and there’s always such a variety of different styles and characteristics or whatever you want in AEW. There’s always something that you can find that corresponds with whatever your preference in wrestling or in life is. As you see, there’s certain characters that may not be on TV every week, but you get so excited when they’re back. AEW wouldn’t be the same without them. I feel that’s what makes it special. Then, you get a pay-per-view. Since I started AEW and even before, AEW pay-per-views, they just hit on a different level. You have to step up your game and you have to be at your best and everybody’s doing that. That’s why there’s such a competition inside as well to prove how good we are to each other. That’s what fuels us and that’s fun to watch for fans.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Castagnoli spoke about scouting for the Death Riders. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
