CM Punk Credits Justin Credible For Going Out Of His Way To Spotlight Him In WWE TV In-Ring Debut

August 1st, 2026, was night one of WWE’s SummerSlam Premium Live Event. The show was headlined by CM Punk defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes.
It was on August 1st, 2006, that Punk made his WWE TV in-ring debut on the ECW show against Justin Credible.
While sitting down with Omar Raja of ESPN, Punk showed love to Credible for going out of his way to spotlight him in that match.
“Working with somebody who has equity with the fans, especially a former ECW Champion and really went out of his way to kind of highlight me, spotlight me and make sure that this was a great first appearance launching pad for my career.”
