Cody Rhodes Confronts Randy Orton On 8/7 WWE SmackDown, Says He Doesn’t Have To Be The Good Guy Anymore

Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes came face-to-face on WWE SmackDown.
The Viper returned at WWE SummerSlam, costing Cody Rhodes the Undisputed WWE Championship match against CM Punk.
Orton made an appearance on the August 7 edition of WWE SmackDown. Before he could say anything, Rhodes interrupted him. The American Nightmare looked ready for a fight, but Orton left the ring.
Rhodes said Orton owed him an explanation for his actions.
Orton said he doesn’t owe anything to Rhodes, as Rhodes asked for this when he gave him permission to be the best version of himself. Orton later said he will become a 15-time World Champion, and it doesn’t matter who has the title. He said it won’t be Cody Rhodes because Orton will never let him become the champion as long as there is air in his lungs.
Rhodes said he no longer has the WWE Championship, so he doesn’t have to turn the other cheek anymore. He said he doesn’t have to be the good guy anymore. Rhodes then said Orton is the last legend left in WWE, and asked who “kills” him.
“Newsflash for you, you call yourself the Legend Killer. Look around Randy, you’re the last legend left here in WWE. So, my question for you is this. Who kills you?”
