Gaming in the world of pro wrestling is not uncommon, especially in the modern era as various members of wrestling companies rosters have spoken about their love for gaming, as well as many others getting into the world of streaming and content creation with video games.
While speaking to ExtraTV in a new interview, Cody Rhodes spoke about how into gaming the WWE locker room is, noting that there is ‘always a monitor set up’ backstage at WWE events for gaming.
“The locker room, actually, the Usos were always really big on Tekken. It’s still played in the locker room to this day. There’s always a little monitor set up. Also, no gatekeeping. You can jump right in, and they want you to jump right in because these guys have gotten really good. Nakayama, who’s responsible for the modern Street Fighter, I also played him in Australia. Dog walked me. So I need to get better at the modern franchise versus the vintage, the OG.”
Elsewhere in another recent interview, Roman Reigns also spoke about gaming in the WWE locker room. You can read more about that here.
