Drew McIntyre: I’ve Never Had Six Months Off Since I Started Wrestling Professionally. When I Come Back, It’s Going To Be A Big Deal

Drew McIntyre says his return is going to be a big deal for the fans and himself.

Drew McIntyre hasn’t been seen in WWE since his WrestleMania 42 unsanctioned match against Jacob Fatu. McIntyre had been busy filming ‘Highlander’ and ‘The Last Druid.’

Speaking on Going Ringside, host Scott Johnson mentioned next year’s ‘Road To Rumble’ European Tour and asked if McIntyre had any idea he’s coming back to WWE anytime soon.

“Yeah, I’ll be back eventually,” McIntyre responded. “WWE is my home, but at the same time, Hollywood Drew is busy right now. I’m focused on Hollywood Drew. So when I get back eventually, it’s going to be a big deal. I’ve never been out for six months. Since I was 15, I started wrestling professionally. I’ve never had six months off in this entire time. So when I come back, I think it’s going to be a big deal for the fans. It’s going to be a big deal for me, but it’s not right now.”

In another interview, McIntyre said that the fans and WWE need him, not the other way around. Fans can read his full comments here.
