Eddie Kingston talks about his recent appearance with German promotion wXw, noting that the company has a special place in his heart.

Kingston is no stranger to independent wrestling around the world, including wXw in Germany, where he has made several appearances, including earlier this month on June 6th.

In a behind the scenes video posted to wXw’s YouTube last week, Eddie Kingston spoke about what wXw means to him.

“wXw was the first place I went international. So this was the first place I was able to get on a plane and fly to wrestle. So it would bug me out, and I forgot what year it was. It was very early in my career, maybe two years in. I remember it was a six-man, a Chikara six-man. I just remember being like, ‘oh, wow, they know who we are, and they know, like, what we’re doing,’ and all this stuff just blew me away. So wXw will always have a special place in my heart because of this being the first place, and then them wanting me to come back, I was like, why? You know? But no, I love it here. I remember the last time I was here was right before the pandemic for, I think, 16 Carat, and that was just, the fans were great. That was so much fun. So yeah, wXw, again, like I said, you can quote that, always has a special place in my heart. That’s why I made sure, when the flight yesterday got delayed, and then I had to sprint to my gate, and people who know me know, I won’t run in the airport. I just won’t do it. Because I’ve seen other people do it and it’s embarrassing. But yesterday? Oh, I ran. I ran.”

Eddie recently commented on his AEW absence. You can read more about that here.
