Eric Bischoff Says He Knew Nothing About NWO Reboot During COVID Era, ‘It Could Be Silly Internet Stupid Shit’

Chris Dunn, a former WWE wrestler, recently revealed that there was a pitch to have an NWO reboot during the COVID era when WWE was still running shows out of the Performance Center.

According to Dunn, the pitch involved Sheamus, Cesaro, Lars Sullivan, and Shinsuke Nakamura as the four men who would lead the new NWO and they would be endorsed by an NWO legend. Kevin Nash stated that he, Scott Hall, and Sean Waltman had never heard of the pitch and they were not the ones called to endorse the group.

Speaking on 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff also said he hadn’t heard of the idea.

“I had a couple of people, one in particular, Sean Waltman, who reached out to me and said, ‘Hey, did you ever hear anything about this?’ ‘No, I never heard anything about that.’ Neither did Kevin Nash, apparently. The three surviving members of the NWO knew nothing about it, so obviously, we weren’t involved in it, which makes me think maybe there is something lost in translation along the way. It seems very unlikely for a lot of reasons. It could just be silly internet stupid shit,” he said.

The idea never made it to TV, but Retribution was a thing during that time.
