At WWE Survivor Series 2016, Goldberg would return to a WWE ring and would face off with Brock Lesnar in a 90 second squash, with the two continuing their rivalry through to WrestleMania 33, with Brock getting his win back against the WWE Hall Of Famer.
While speaking to Going Ringside in a new interview, Goldberg spoke about his rivalry with Brock Lesnar, noting that he was his ‘best opponent,’ due to the dynamic the pair had as ‘two absolute monsters.’
“At the end of the day, Brock Lesnar was my best opponent because he was a mirror image of myself. Just as a blonde wrestler, and I played football. The dynamic of having two absolute monsters in the ring together, I was more excited than anyone because he was a guy that could take it if I hit him.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Goldberg spoke about getting more busy in life after retiring from the world of professional wrestling. You can read more about that here.
