Indi Hartwell has discussed her recent return to WWE NXT and getting the opportunity to share the ring with Zaria on the show.
On the October 6th edition of WWE NXT, several TNA names would feature as part of a number one contenders battle royal for the NXT Women’s Championship, including Indi, with Wren Sinclair eventually winning the match.
While speaking to Joey Karni in a new interview, Indi Hartwell spoke about her brief return to WWE NXT, noting that it brought her closure while also nothing what it meant to share the ring with Zaria.
“I think I was so happy and smiley because I was kind of worried that the, the audience wouldn’t remember me or not that they wouldn’t remember me, but that they wouldn’t care anymore because the business moves fast and a lot has happened in NXT since the I was there. So that’s why I was so happy, and yeah, I guess it did give me a sense of closure. I was able to talk with old coaches and producers and people that I worked with there because when you get released, you don’t get to say bye to some people. So yeah, I feel like it was a bit of also a lot of momentum going into Bound for Glory. I got to have a moment with Zaria in the ring, which was cool. Her and I have never ever crossed paths before. So yeah, two Aussies facing off in NXT ring on TV, I think is pretty special.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Indi spoke about what it means to inspire Australian pro wrestlers with her recent Knockouts title victory. You can read more about that here.
