Indi Hartwell says she looks forward to inspiring Australian professional wrestlers as TNA Knockouts Champion in the future.
On October 11th, Indi would challenge for the TNA Knockouts Championship and walked away with the victory at TNA Bound For Glory, capturing the title for the first time in her run in TNA.
While speaking to Joey Karni in a new interview, Indi Hartwell spoke about the ups and downs she went through on her way to capturing the TNA Knockouts Championship.
“I think a lot of people’s wrestling journeys are roller coasters. There’s a lot of ups. There’s a lot of downs. I had a lot of downs in the past few years, especially from the last Bound For Glory up until now, just working my way back to getting an opportunity like this to finally win the Knockouts title, and I just kind of think that everything happens for a reason. All the bad days come for good, good reasons, you know? So yeah, Everything has been a learning experience. I think it’s coming up on two years since I’ve been gone from WWE, and I’m really happy with everything that I’ve done and everything that I’ve achieved, and, you know, I’m just growing and learning more every day.”
Indi would then speak about how important it is to her to capture the Knockouts Championship as an Australian pro wrestler.
“It’s pretty crazy to think about because when I talk about my journey in wrestling and when I try to inspire people that they can do what they set out to achieve. I’m a girl from Australia who made it all the way over here, and now I’m the first TNA Knockouts world champion. Like it’s crazy to think about, and I’m so proud of all the Australians because when I was younger watching wrestling, watching WWE and TNA, there weren’t any Australians on TV,, and now we have so many, we have so many Australian champions. So I’m just so proud of the Aussies and I hope more Aussies can make it, you know, break out and make it over here because yeah, I mean, I feel like I feel proud and I just want to inspire the other Aussies too.”
