India Sioux Discusses Being Involved In The 2026 CMLL Amazonas Universal Championship Tournament

India Sioux didn’t think she’d get to compete in the CMLL Amazonas Universal Championship tournament anymore because she is the CMLL-Japan Women’s Champion.

Last year, India Sioux won the CMLL Amazonas Universal Championship by defeating Skadi in the finals.

Sioux spoke with Fightful’s Luis Pulido recently, where she discussed her involvement in this year’s tournament.

“At one point, I thought I wouldn’t have this opportunity anymore precisely because I currently hold the championship title, but now that I know this, I know they’re going to give me the chance to be there and try to become a two-time champion. Imagine that! It would be incredible. The fact that we’re all tecnicas and now we’re going to face all the tecnicas for that spot, it’s a rare opportunity. It’s rare during the year because we don’t have to compete against our own teammates; for obvious reasons, we know them quite well as tecnicas. We know each one’s strengths, and we know we’ll be up against so much talent and that only one will remain. My nerves are already through the roof for India Sioux, but I know I have to stay focused and be ready to compete.”

On the October 9 edition of CMLL Viernes Espectacular, Skadi vs. Olympia was confirmed for the finals of this tournament. Read more about it here.
