India Sioux Explains Why Winning The CMLL National Women’s Championship ‘Meant A Lot’ To Her
India Sioux comments on winning the CMLL National Women’s Championship.
In March 2025, during an episode of CMLL Viernes Espectacular, India Sioux defeated Sanely to win the CMLL National Women’s Title. She later defended her title against the likes of Hera and Kira before losing it.
Speaking with Fightful’s Luis Pulido, Sioux talked about the importance of winning this title.
“It meant a lot to me. One of CMLL’s most important championships is the Women’s National Championship, because of its history and all the women who have won it; it’s a championship that demands a lot of dedication.”
Sioux kept the belt for 511 days before losing it to Thunder Rosa in July 2026 on CMLL Viernes Espectacular. She said the following regarding this loss:
“Unfortunately, I don’t think it was my night. Yes, I lost, and it hurt a lot, but I think I’ll look for a chance to face her again in the future and win it back.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Sioux commented on the CMLL-Japan Title. Fans can read more about it here.
