Joe Gacy Says There Were Multiple Meetings About Bringing Alexa Bliss Into The Wyatt Sicks

Joe Gacy wanted to see Alexa Bliss interact with the Wyatt Sicks.

After spending two years away from WWE, Bliss returned to the ring during the Women’s Royal Rumble match in February 2025. By this time, the Wyatt Sicks were already an established group over on the SmackDown brand.

Many fans expected Bliss to eventually join the Wyatt Sicks or at least address her history with Bray Wyatt. That never happened and the entire group was released from the company in April 2026.

Speaking with Denise Salcedo for a new interview, Joe Gacy was asked if there were ever talks to bring Bliss into the group.

“It was talked about two times. The first very meeting at headquarters, they basically told us, yeah, we’re gonna have you guys debut and then when Alexa is ready to come back, she’ll join you guys. That was the first thing ever said about it. So I just assumed, eventually she’s going to be with us. My whole thing was always when she comes back, whether she’s with us or not with us, we definitely need to address it. There was no reason why we shouldn’t considering her part with Bray and the Firefly Funhouse. Even if we wanted to have a lot of fun with it, the fact that she turned on Wyndham at WrestleMania. That was never talked about after it happened, so I felt like we could’ve did something with that. We could’ve had something where maybe Nikki and Alexa wrestled each other. There was a lot that could’ve been done there.”

Gacy went on to summarize the entire situation as a missed opportunity.

“From my understanding, there was a very last minute decision for her to return, which I believe was Royal Rumble 25. That was a very last minute decision for her return and then I assumed post that, we’re gonna do something. We had meetings, we did have meetings to talk about ideas and pitch ideas. She was involved in the meetings, she had some ideas she pitched on her own. I thought maybe some of that stuff would eventually happen. That was around when we came back to me and Dexter winning the tag titles, I thought around that time she was going to get involved with us and then they decided to go another direction. I just always thought it was a little silly that you have her on the show wearing the same gear and having odes to Windham and the Wyatt Family. Sometimes, we’re immediately after her coming out and there’s no mention or interaction or nothing. I thought it was a huge missed opportunity and very strange. I try to always look at things from the fans perspective. Like, if I was a fan, I’d be like, ‘Why is there nothing going on right there?’ Even if it’s like as simple as a glance backstage or an entrance or something little just to like tease something. I don’t know, I just don’t think that stuff is that difficult to write. I wish it happened but it did not.”

Earlier this month, Alexa Bliss returned to the ring after being out of action for over a month. Learn more by clicking here.
