Jon Moxley Retains AEW Continental Title At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door
Jon Moxley retained the AEW Continental Championship at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Moxley managed to keep the title by defeating Bandido in singles competition.
The finish saw Moxley choke out Bandido with a rear naked choke. Bandido tried to break the hold by standing to his feet and falling back, using his force to get Moxley off of him, but Moxley held onto the choke and sunk it in tighter.
Early in the match, Bandido was busted open after a piledriver on the steps. Moxley targeted the blood, ripping at the mask of Bandido as well.

This was the fifth successful title defense for Jon Moxley. He won the title when he won the 2025 Continental Classic at AEW Worlds End.
