Kay Lee Ray recalls the WWE ring name she pitched and that was rejected in favor of her ‘Alba Fyre’ ring name.
Throughout her time with the company, Kay Lee Ray would initially go by said name in NXT UK before moving to the main NXT brand and later the main roster, where she would work under the Alba Fyre ring name.
While speaking to The Daily Star in a new interview, Kay Lee Ray spoke about a ring name that she pitched to WWE prior to becoming Alba Fyre, noting that she wanted to be named Paisley after where she was born.
“People from there might make fun of me for this, but Paisley was actually one that I suggested. I was born in Paisley. So, some sort of like Paisley Ray or something like that. So it kind of went with the Kay Lee but they were like, no, you’re a badass. We need something fire.”
