Killer Kross: Mask vs. Mask Is A Match You Can Show A Non-Wrestling Fan To Hook Them

The mask vs. mask match between El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) and OG Americano (Chad Gable) has earned high praise from fans, pundits, and peers, capping off the Americano rivalry.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Killer Kross weighed in with his take.

“I would say that match is the full menu. You’re giving them everything: the technical aspect, the gaga, the drama, the Shakespeare, blood, weapons, people running down, an amazing finish, and there is this stipulation involved. It’s everything in one match. I’ve always said that [Roddy] Piper and Hitman [Bret Hart] is a match you can show people who don’t like wrestling or if you want to introduce them into wrestling, that’s a match you show them because there is a story there. The Grande Americanos, I honestly believe that’s a match you can show someone who does not watch wrestling, and it can hook them as a fan. If you explain to them what is going on, everything is there,” he said.

Kaiser was victorious in the match, leading to Gable being unmasked.
