Kyle Fletcher: For Me Personally And Selfishly, I Would Very Much Love To See Ilja Dragunov In AEW

Last month, it would be revealed that Dragunov would be leaving WWE following his contract with the promotion expiring. This would immediately lead to fans speculating about a potential AEW move for the former NXT Champion, with Fletcher recently commenting on potentially facing him again. Now, Kyle has made it clear that he not only wants the match to happen, but he wants to see Ilja signed by AEW.

While speaking to The Daily Star in a recent interview prior to AEW All In, Kyle Fletcher would speak about Ilja Dragunov potentially signing with AEW, noting that he looks forward to seeing what a 2026 match between he and Dragunov looks like.

“The one on the top of everyone’s list at the moment is Ilja (Dragunov). He’s possibly a free agent, as we’ve all heard. He’s someone that I wrestled in PROGRESS over here in the UK before. So for me personally and selfishly, I would very much love to see him in AEW. I think that would be awesome, and I look forward to seeing what a 2026 match with Ilja Dragunov looks like. I think that would be very exciting.”
