Malakai Black had preliminary contact with MLW a few months ago, but the conversations didn’t go far.

Earlier in April, Malakai Black, then known as Aleister Black, confirmed his departure from WWE. There were rumors that Black was negotiating with All Elite Wrestling, but those were denied by the promotion.

Recently, Fightful Select reports that “Malakai Black had preliminary contact with MLW a number of months ago. Those that we spoke to familiar with the situation claimed that the conversations didn’t go very far, but things didn’t go awry or anything of that nature.
