Mark Davis Def. Jack Perry On 5/27 AEW Dynamite To Advance In Owen Hart Cup Tournament

The main event of the May 27th edition of AEW Dynamite was a first-round match in the men’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament. Jack Perry clashed with AEW National Champion Mark Davis. Davis became champion by defeating Perry for the belt on May 9th.

During their tournament match, Davis knocked Perry out of his shoes and then took Perry’s socks off. The backend of the match saw Perry and Davis on the ring ropes, and Perry slipped off because he did not have shoes or socks on.

Davis capitalized by hitting Perry with a piledriver off the ropes to secure the win and advance in the tournament.

Davis will face Will Ospreay in the next round of the Owen Hart Cup on the June 3rd Dynamite.
