Over the course of the past year, Callum Newman has made his feelings known about the former United Empire members now part of All Elite Wrestling and while most of his comments have been directed at Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis have also drawn his ire.

While speaking to Jeremy Lambert and SP3 on Fightful Overbooked’s In The Weeds, Mark Davis spoke about the current issues with United Empire and Callum Newman taking shots at he, Kyle Fletcher and Will Ospreay recently.

“Okay. I’m the AEW National Champion, The Don Callis Family has gold upon gold upon gold. They have the best professional wrestlers in the world. I think looking at it as a feeder system is maybe insulting to the produced- like the quality that the Don Callis Family produces. I think that Don as a, you know, as a manager is always going to be sitting there scouting some of the best talent in the world, and I think that’s like a misconception also about Don is that he’s conceded in that, but he’s somebody who, if he sees genuine talent in a, you know, professional wrestler. He’ll offer them opportunities, and he can be very gracious in doing so. I think Callum’s (Newman) just a little bit in his feelings, you know. If he wants to do something about it, there’s space to do it. There’s time to do it. He can do it in the ring. He can, you know, he can just sit in a backstage interview and call people out if he wants to. But as far as I’m concerned, there’s not really, like, there’s not really anything there. There’s no real link. United Empire at one point was, you know, a great system to be part of. But me, myself personally, Kyle I know also has moved on, has stepped away from that. It only seems to be Will who’s, you know, clinging on to the past there and trying to step back in and rehash old memories with mates. But for us, we’re fully locked in on the Don Callis Family, and it’s just a matter of time before… We take that and we take over the world with it, really, the wrestling world.”

Last month, Tony Khan spoke about the visa issues that were keeping Mark Davis off AEW TV at the time. You can read more about that here.
