Mason Rook has reacted to not being cleared for action on the September 29th edition of WWE NXT and missing an NXT title shot.
On the September 29th edition of WWE NXT, Rook was originally scheduled to take on Grayson Waller in singles action with the men’s NXT Championship on the line. However, prior to WWE NXT could even go on the air, it would be announced that Rook would not be medically cleared to compete on the show. As a result, the match would be scrapped, with Waller instead successfully defending the championship against EK Prosper in an open challenge.
In a social media post prior to last night’s WWE NXT, Mason Rook would take to social media to comment on missing the show, first apologizing to WWE fans before noting that ‘sometimes life is cruel.’
“I’m sorry. Sometimes life is cruel. Every fibre of my being wanted to compete tonight but unfortunately it is out of my control. I promise this is just a speed bump and not a road block.”
