Matt Cardona: ‘The Macho Man’ Randy Savage Is My Dream Opponent

Matt Cardona names his dream wrestling opponent throughout the world of professional wrestling’s long history.

During Cardona’s two stints with WWE, he has yet to become a world champion, but in that time he has still had a successful career, including capturing the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 32. Cardona is a well known historian, if not only due to his love of wrestling action figures. For Cardona, he does have a former iconic WWE Intercontinental Champion in mind as his dream match.

While speaking to The Sportster in a new interview, Matt Cardona was asked about potential dream matchups throughout the history of professional wrestling, with Cardona noting that ‘The Macho Man’ Randy Savage is his dream opponent, regardless of what version of Savage he could potentially face.

“Macho Man is my dream opponent, whether it be Babyface, Heel, Macho King, even WCW towards the end, Macho Man. Like, I just love his style. I love his mic work, his ring work. Macho Man was larger than life. I’d say him.”
