Maya World Hopes To Defend AEW TBS Title At AEW All In
Maya World is currently not scheduled to compete at AEW All In, but she is in London and hoping to wrestle at Wembley Stadium.
The AEW Women’s Champion Willow Nightingale and AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne & Lena Kross) have title defenses, but the AEW TBS Champion is currently without an opponent.
Speaking to Shirleigh of Fightful, Maya was asked if she had plans for Sunday.
“Tony [Khan] did tease something, so Tony [looks at camera] hopefully. I would definitely love to defend the championship. What champion wouldn’t want to defend their championship? It’s such an iconic stadium and place that whatever he wants to put [me] in, I’m ready to fight, no matter what it is. Persephone has hit me in the face a lot with the championship so (I’d like to face) Persephone if there was anybody,” she said.
Persephone pinned Maya World in a women’s trios match on AEW Dynamite.
Maya won the AEW TBS Title at AEW Redemption, defeating Hikaru Shida. She has made two successful title defenses. She was also in the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation women’s tournament, losing to Mercedes Mone, who will challenge for the AEW Women’s Title against Willow Nightingale at AEW All In.
