Mercedes Moné Reveals She Underwent Surgery For Broken Nose: “It’s Still Very Much Broken”

Mercedes Moné provides an update on her nose.

It was at the 2026 AEW All In pay-per-view that Mercedes Moné defeated Willow Nightingale to become the AEW Women’s World Champion.

During the bout, Moné suffered a broken nose and did not return to in-ring action until late September.

After retaining her title at WrestleDream on October 18th, Moné took to the post-show and revealed that she underwent surgery for her nose injury. She added that it’s still broken.

“It was definitely one of the hardest-fought battles I’ve ever had and one of my greatest matches and greatest moments in my whole career. I love, love that moment at Wembley. Just a full circle moment for me as well. But yeah, I’m one month and a half post-surgery on my nose. It’s still very much broken, and I’m pushing through every single week but I love what I do, I love defending my Women’s Championship, and I’m here to be the best, and just having a broken nose, it’s not gonna faze me; it’s not gonna stop me, it’s not gonna stop me from defending this, and this is my destiny so I’m ready to give everything that I have for it.”

Moné has had two successful defenses of the belt thus far. The next AEW pay-per-view is Full Gear on November 14th.
