Mike Santana: Slammiversary Is All I’m Thinking About, Whatever Happens After That Happens After That

Mike Santana is focused on one thing.
There have been plenty of rumors and reports about Mike Santana’s future in wrestling, especially with his upcoming TNA World Championship defense at Slammiversary.
Despite hearing the rumors himself, Santana is ensuring everyone that he has a one-track mindset right now.
“I’ve heard the rumors. I’m defending the world title this Sunday in Boston at Slammiversary. That is my focus. Literally all I’ve been thinking about and preparing for is this match against Nic Nemeth.” Santana told Undisputed in a new interview.
Santana went on to say that his therapist has encouraged him to live life one day at a time.
“I had a great therapist–shout out to Daron–who shared with me that the past doesn’t exist anymore, the future doesn’t exist yet, and that all we have is today. I live that way every day of my life. Before, I dwelled too much on my past and looked too forward into my future. I’ve learned not to overwhelm myself too much with the past or the future. What’s in front of us is what’s most important.”
Continuing on, Santana reiterated that he is only thinking about Slammiversary.
“Nic Nemeth and me are going to go after it. Especially with all the transition and changes in TNA, this is the time for us to show what’s most important–it’s all about what happens in the ring. I want people leaving talking about the show and how great it was. Slammiversary, that’s all I’m thinking about. Whatever happens after that happens after that. My focus is Slammiversary.”
Earlier this month, Mike Santana said he plans on taking any opportunity that will help grow his career. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
