Myles Borne Speaks About Pulling Double Duty At NXT Heatwave, Wants To Make Shawn Michaels Proud

Coming up on the schedule for WWE’s NXT brand is the Heatwave Premium Live Event on August 30th. Two of the matches on the card will feature double champion Myles Borne.

In one bout, he’ll be defending the North American Championship against Jackson Drake, and he’ll also team with Tavion Heights to defend the NXT Tag Team Titles against Vanity Project (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes).

Ahead of Heatwave, Borne appeared on Busted Open and discussed pulling double duty. He said he wants to make NXT overseer Shawn Michaels proud.

“Of course I want the fans to see that I’m going out there twice on Sunday and I want to give them the best showing possible but I’m also — you know, the goal for me and the challenge is I wanna walk through (the) curtain both times and Shawn (Michaels) be proud of what we do out there.”

It’ll be Borne’s seventh defense of the North American Title and he and Heights’ first defense of the NXT Tag Team Titles.
