The boxing debut of Velveteen Dream ended like an episode of WWE TV. In a disqualification.
Dream (Patrick Clark) made his boxing debut on August 29 for Duel Arena, facing “Pillow Talk” podcast host Ryan Pownall.
The fight ended when the referee disqualified him for shoving Pownall out of the ring on multiple occasions. Clark was losing the fight before the DQ.

At the press conference ahead of the event, Clark started a brawl with Pownall.
After the fight, Duel Arena apologized for platforming Clark.

In March 2020, Clark was accused of inappropriate contact with a minor on social media. He addressed and denied the allegation in April 2020. During the Speaking Out movement in June 2020, Dream was accused of inappropriate contact with a minor and grooming by pro wrestler Joshua Fuller.
WWE released Velveteen Dream in May 2021.
He was arrested in Orlando, Florida, on August 26, 2022, on a charge of Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia and following an incident on August 20, 2022, at a gym in Florida where he allegedly punched and bit an employee.
He lobbied for a WWE return in 2025, but was not signed.
