Captain Insano is a character that was conceptualized and realized in the movie, The Waterboy. Paul Wight would play the character and over the years has brought elements of this character into his in ring career, with multiple appearances being made by the character since Wight joined All Elite Wrestling, including with Adam Cole and MJF and more.

While speaking to Going Ringside in a new interview, Paul Wight would discuss the character, noting that he is working on bringing the character back out through a lot of hard work.

“Captain (Insano) is a lot of fun. We’re still working on that, actually. I have a lot of fun with it. Of course, that character was iconic in the movie The Waterboy. I’m going through a lot of hard work to bring that character out, to present that character in its best possible format.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Wight spoke about the potential that Kyle Fletcher has when it comes to his future in professional wrestling. You can read more about that here.
