Samoa Joe Feels That Anthony Bowens Is Becoming ‘A Much More Varied’ Competitor
Samoa Joe feels that Anthony Bowens is becoming a 'much more varied' competitor as of late, and can now show what he's capable of.
Since joining The Opps, Bowens has become a more serious and vicious competitor, something that the faction’s leader, Samoa Joe, has wanted to see out of the former Acclaimed member. Now, Joe has spoken about said growth.
While speaking to Shak Wrestling in a new interview, Samoa Joe spoke about Anthony Bowens, noting that he is becoming a ‘much more varied’ competitor in the ring.
“I think he’s becoming a much more varied competitor, where he’s going to be multifaceted, and listen, he’s always been a blue-chipper athlete. He’s always been a tremendous grappler. He’s able to connect with crowds. He’s able to bring people off their feet. But it’s just now kind of pairing a little bit of more viciousness, putting a little bit more edge on the blade, and putting him in the positions where and hopefully he can shine and then kind of show the world what he’s capable of.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Joe spoke about how the current generation of wrestlers are more technical than his. You can read more about that here.
