Scott D’Amore Believes Mauro Ranallo Is Indisputably The Best Combat Sports Announcer In History

The debut of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling’s ‘Mayhem’ show on TSN is on July 15th. The commentary team for the show will be Mauro Ranallo and Don Callis.
The promotion’s owner, Scott D’Amore, guest appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show and expressed his opinion that Mauro Ranallo is indisputably the best combat sports announcer of all time. He added that people can have their debates about individual sports under that umbrella, but when it comes to everything as a collective, Ranallo is the best.
“Mauro (Ranallo) could read the obituary and make you happy about it. I’m so grateful… We first met each other in Stampede (Wrestling) in the late 90s, when they were doing one of their revivals. We stayed in touch over the years with his time at Fight Network and his career grew and blossomed… I think it’s indisputable to say the best combat sports announcer in history. If you wanna argue this person’s better at boxing, this person’s better at MMA or this person is better at wrestling, there’s conversations to be had. But there’s no conversation about cross-genre combat sports. Nobody touches him…”
Among the matches scheduled for the debut of MLP on TSN are an MLP Women’s Canadian Championship match and an MLP Interim Canadian Title bout.
