The passing of Jordan Owens.

Tampa Bay Pro Wrestling took to their social media to announce the passing of their on-screen commissioner, Jordan Owens.

“It is with profound sadness that Tampa Bay Pro Wrestling has learned of the tragic loss of our longtime Commissioner, Jordan Owens.

Jordan was far more than an on-screen authority figure. He was a friend, a supporter, an entertainer, a historian, and an unforgettable part of the Tampa Bay Pro Wrestling family. For years, he dedicated his time, passion, and heart to professional wrestling, helping create memories that will live on with our wrestlers, staff, and fans.

Jordan’s talents and passions reached far beyond the wrestling ring. He was a stand-up comedian, trivia host, podcaster, and avid movie critic, always finding an outlet for his personality, humor, and incredible knowledge of the things he loved.

Professional wrestling, however, held a particularly important place in Jordan’s life. In addition to his many years as Commissioner of Tampa Bay Pro Wrestling, Jordan was a co-founder of Real Pro Wrestling in Fort Myers, Florida. He was also regarded as one of the primary historians of Florida independent professional wrestling, spending years preserving its stories, events, personalities, and history. As a contributing archivist, Jordan helped ensure that pieces of Florida wrestling history that might otherwise have been forgotten were documented and remembered for future generations.

Whether he was holding a microphone at a wrestling event, hosting trivia, recording a podcast, performing comedy, reviewing a movie, digging into wrestling history, sharing a laugh backstage, or celebrating with the locker room after a show, Jordan had a presence people remembered. His humor, kindness, knowledge, passion, and genuine love for entertainment touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Jordan didn’t simply participate in the Florida wrestling community—he helped document it, preserve it, and become part of its history himself.

He helped build more than wrestling promotions. He helped build communities, friendships, and memories. His legacy will continue through the organizations he helped shape, the history he helped preserve, the moments he helped create, and the countless people whose lives were made a little brighter simply by knowing him.

On behalf of everyone at Tampa Bay Pro Wrestling, we extend our deepest condolences to Jordan’s family, friends, colleagues, and all who loved him during this incredibly difficult time.
