The Mountain Says He Previously Flew To Tampa To Meet With Triple H About Wrestling

The Mountain discusses the time that he flew to Tampa to meet with Triple H about a potential WWE career and why it didn’t go anywhere.

Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, also known as ‘The Mountain’ is a well known strongman and actor, who is most famous for starring as the character of the same name in the Game Of Thrones TV show, as well being a member of the International Sports Hall of Fame. He has also boxed, sporting a record with two wins and two draws.

While speaking to Ross Tucker in a new interview, The Mountain was asked about if he had ever considered a career in pro wrestling.

“At one point in my life, it crossed my mind, and… I flew to Tampa, met up with Triple H and the team and went to the office and spoke to them. It crossed my mind that they were trying to do WWE, but nothing came out of it. I think they saw that my mind was more into Strongman and… yeah, we spoke, but nothing of all of it.”
