The Rock Says He Wears Prescription Glasses: ‘I’m Not The Asshole Who Wears Sunglasses Inside’

The Rock says that despite what people may think, his glasses that he wears are prescription and with a tint.

During his time in WWE, The Rock was no stranger to wearing sunglasses both inside and outside arenas, with it becoming a key part of his character at his peak in WWE. That being said, he now says that he has a reason for wearing glasses with a tint.

While speaking to Rotten Tomato Trailers in a new interview, Moana star Catherine Laga’aia was asked about what was the most ‘Dwayne Johnson’ moment she saw The Rock do on set of the live action remake, pointing to

“By the way, for context, these are prescription glasses. (takes them off) Now I can’t see anything. So they were prescription on set. I’m not the asshole who wears (sun)glasses inside. No, they’re scripts. By the way, every time we would read our lines, I would say, give me my glasses, and I’d put them on. Now, they happen to have some tint to them, so it makes me look like, ‘oh, look at this fuckin’ guy.'”
