Thekla Opens Up About Not Having Match At AEW All In 2026
Thekla opened up about the response from the public.
After reigning as AEW Women’s World Champion for 165 days, Thekla lost the belt a month before All Elite Wrestling’s biggest show of the calendar year, All In at Wembley Stadium.
She did not have a match at All In, but had a segment during The Buy In pre-show. While speaking to New York Post Sports, she commented on not being in action at the event and added that it meant something to her to see that people were not pleased that she didn’t have a match.
“Again, about being a pro, you know, you gotta just take things the way they are, be cool with whatever happens and I try to get into a mindset where I didn’t wanna be greedy anyways because I’ve had a tremendous 2026, and a great 2025 too. Some part of me was obviously upset because it’s f*cking Wembley and it’s in front of almost 50,000 people in Europe, which I haven’t even remotely done, you know? It would have been, obviously, the biggest gig of my life so far… Also, I like that I’m still on the chase. I don’t like having anything in front of me that I gotta follow up on. You also gotta make ‘em miss you. I was happy and almost touched to see that people were outraged that I was not on the show. It’s actually better that way.”
Thekla is set for action at the 2026 All Out pay-per-view. She’ll be facing Willow Nightingale to determine who will get a shot at Mercedes Moné’s AEW Women’s World Championship at WrestleDream.
