In recent months, the AEW Women’s World Champion has been no stranger to cursing on television, calling many talent on the women’s roster ‘dumb bitches’.
While speaking to the Sal Licata Show in a new interview, Thekla spoke about her cursing in All Elite Wrestling.
“It’s one of the hardest things for me, actually. It’s really, like, I speak a lot of languages, speaking without cursing is almost like having to speak another language. So, and if you listen, if you turn up the volume in matches and I’m saying something it’s, and you can’t- you can almost hear, but you can’t quite hear it. I’m probably saying some profanities.”
Thekla was then asked if she has gotten in trouble because of her cursing in AEW.
“Not yet. I think people have understood that I’m really good at swearing. I’m just very- I just love it. Like I can’t help myself, you know, and you always want to see people have fun at, at whatever they’re doing. So they tried to ban, like tell me that I shouldn’t be saying bitch, and then I was like, yeah, sure, and then the next time, it was like they wanted me to say bitch twice in the same sentence.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Thekla spoke about MJF potentially losing his hair at AEW Double Or Nothing. You can read more about that here.
