Thunder Rosa Details Spot That Sidelined Her With A Back Injury In 2022
In 2022, Thunder Rosa was forced to relinquish the AEW Women’s Championship due to a back injury that kept her sidelined for over a year.
Rosa won the title from Britt Baker in a cage match in March, but was already dealing with a back injury at that time.
Rosa sat down with The Normies to rewatch the match, when it was noted that she got cupping done to help with injuries.
“I didn’t know how hurt I was. During this whole entire time, my lower back was hurt. I lost the title because I got slammed on the stairs and I got caught on the edge of the stairs and it ripped something in my back. I was in immediate pain. It was horrible,” she said.
Rosa was slammed on the steps by Jamie Hayter at AEW Battle Of The Belts III. She wrestled just one more match before stepping away due to injury.
